Lewie Jaycine Smith, 84, of Bartlesville, OK, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 30, 2022.

Lewie was born in Glencoe, OK, on August 25, 1937. He attended Stillwater High School and then studied at Midwest Christian College. He served in the United States Marines for four years. Lewie was married to Della Owensby on June 13, 1959, they were married for 62 years. Lewie worked as a printer press operator at Moore Business Forms for many years. After retirement, he worked at several different golf courses and his last job was as a security officer for Phillips in Bartlesville, OK. Lewie's number one hobby was playing golf. His favorite partner was his twin Ludie, then his son-in-law Bill.  He enjoyed taking any grandchild that was interested to the golf course, sometimes to "play" golf, hit practice balls, or just ride in the golf cart; the activity didn't matter to him, he loved spending time with the kids.

Lewie was a member of Hillside Christian Church, where he had served on the board in several capacities.

Lewie is survived by siblings; Leonard, Larry, and twin, Ludie Raycine Smith; sister, Lovella Anderson, his children, Lyle Anthony "Tony" Smith and wife Vicki, Tammy LaNita Kelly and husband, Bill, grandchildren; Summer Been, Bryce Williams, Cierra Thomas, Lyle Smith, Will Kelly, Rylee Kelly, and Jace Kelly. Lewie had the pleasure of meeting his great-grandson, Eden Thomas.

Lewie was preceded in death by his parents, Vernie Ray and Esther Pearl (Vanatta) Smith, wife, Della and son, Landon Jacob "Lanny" Smith, siblings; Levon, Linn, Lavenia Hanes and LaRoma Lee.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Traditions Hospice in Tulsa, OK as a memorial to Lewie, Della, and Lanny Smith. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service.
