Kenneth Paul Landes, 83, of Bartlesville, passed away January 25, 2021, at Ascension St. John Hospital in Bartlesville. He was born on June 20, 1937 in Lucien, Oklahoma to Walter Peter, and Hazel Margaret (Snyder) Landes. He was a graduate of Nowata High School. Kenneth worked at Lander’s Brothers Grocery while he was in high school. That is where he met his wife to be, Patsy Pattison. They were married April 28, 1961. Kenneth enlisted in the United States Army with his best friend Robert Collier and served from February 1961 to February 1964. While in the Army he was stationed at Landstuhl, Germany where his first child Sheila was born. After returning from the Army his second daughter Kathy was born. Kenneth became a patrolman with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol retiring in 1988.

On May 5, 1973 Kenneth married Alice Druesilla Key. Kenneth enjoyed fishing and loved telling duck hunting stories. He liked woodworking and whittling. He made airplanes out of metal cans for family and friends. He loved working around the farm and taking care of the farm animals. Kenneth was a very outgoing person that loved people and making them simile. He had a strong faith in God and was faith in God and was of First Church of God in Del City, Ok. He had a great sense of humor. Kenneth was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding Mr. Landes in death are his parents Walter and Hazel Landes; a grandson, Tyler Ainesworth; and siblings, Ida Martelle Hemphill, Vernon Landes, Marion Landes, and Cleta Moomaw.

Survivors include his wife Alice Druesilla Landes; children Sheila McMillan and husband Mark, of Bartlesville, Kathy Landes, of Bartlesville, David Lewis and wife Cathy, of Mustang, Ok.; grandchildren, Dustin Ortiz, Jeffrey Sharp and wife Maria, Kara Byers, Robin Mikel; great grandchildren, Jayden Sharp Bella Ortiz, and a sister, Waldeen Harper, of Bartlesville; many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Services for Kenneth Landes will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 1, 2021 at the Nowata First Church of God. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Talala, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, January 31, 2021 at Benjamin Funeral Service, 114 W. Cherokee, Nowata, Ok. 74048.
