Glenda Bond

March 11, 1946 — January 18, 2023

Lenepah

Glenda Mae Bond, 76, of Lenapah, Oklahoma, passed from this life into eternal rest with her Lord and Savior on the evening of Wednesday, January 18, 2023. Glenda took her first breath of life on March 11, 1946, in Fredonia, Kansas. Glenda was born the daughter of Glen and Della Smith.

Glenda met and married the love of her life, Dick Bond on March 1, 1963. The couple had an inseparable bond. Prior to her passing, they lacked a couple of short months of 60 years of love and life together. Glenda and Dick had two beautiful baby girls, Paula and Sherry. The couple truly were a shining light of true love and worked side by side all down through their marriage. They opened and successfully operated Bonds Custom Butchering for over 20 years and even drove as a team in a semi for a period. You could say they were truly each other’s happy place.

Glenda was no stranger to hard work; she enjoyed a hard day’s work and did just that her entire life.  Glenda was a country girl who knew the true meaning of work ethic, and what it was to work hard and earn your way. She enjoyed fishing and raising her garden as well as canning her grown goods.

Above all, Glenda loved God and her family, and she held both near and dear to her heart. She will be truly missed by all that knew her.

Loved ones who met Glenda at the gates of Heaven include her parents; Glen and Della, one daughter; Paula, and a sister, Gean.

Those left to cherish her beautiful memory include her husband of 59 years; Dick, her daughter, Sherry and her husband, Tim, her son-in-law; Robert and his wife, Gina, two grandsons; Nathan and Brandon, one great-grandchild, Augustus, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of Mrs. Bond have entrusted Glenda’s love and care to the Benjamin Funeral Service of Nowata, OK. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemoriesnowata.com.
