Gayle Edna (Callison) Murphy, 91, went home to live eternally with the Lord on Wednesday, February 10, 2021.  She was born on February 13, 1929 in Nowata, Oklahoma to Charley and Josephine (Hutton) Callison. She grew up and attended school at Nowata.

Gayle married the love of her life, LeRoy Murphy on December 20, 1942 in Bartlesville, OK. They enjoyed 46 years of marriage on this earth before LeRoy’s passing and now are together once again.

She enjoyed being a homemaker, caring for her children, and keeping a clean home. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, baking, and crocheting. Gayle can always be remembered for her infectious laugh and beautiful smile. She was a devoted daughter, mother and grandma and loved her family unconditionally..

Gayle was preceded in death by her parents Charley and Josephine Callison, her husband LeRoy Murphy and six siblings, Sam Callison, Perry Callison, William Callison, Bessie Manard, Jewel Vaughn, Almeda Stark and one son-in-law Ronnie Baker.

She is survived by two daughters, Margie Baker of Nowata, OK, Carolyn Hill and husband Eldon of Nowata, OK, seven grandchildren and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Benjamin Funeral Home Chapel in Nowata, Pastor Kirk Jackson officiating.
