Courtney Jane Faulkner, 39, of Nowata, passed away Friday morning, November 5, 2021, at Jane Phillips Medical Center, Bartlesville.
Courtney was born September 30, 1982, at Coffeyville, Kansas to Patric Mason Faulkner and Jania (Blum) Faulkner. She grew up in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma and began school, there. Courtney would transfer to Lenapah Schools and graduating in 2001 from Oklahoma Union High School. She attended Rogers State University, graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing. Courtney married Lloyd Plymale in August of 2009 and from this marriage had a daughter, Harper. The couple would later divorce. Courtney was living in Coffeyville and working at the Southern Supper Club. She met Robby Gearhart in 2012 and the couple lived in Coffeyville, moving to Nowata in 2015. Courtney & Robby became engaged in February of 2019. Courtney had enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom.
She was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Nowata. Courtney grew up barrel racing and team roping. She was an avid traveler and a gourmet cook.
She is survived by her fiancé, Robby Gearhart of the home; her mother, Jania Faulkner of Delaware, Oklahoma; by a daughter, Harper Plymale of the home; a step-daughter, Calli Nicole Gearhart of the home; two brothers, Clint Mason Faulkner of Delaware, Oklahoma and Clay Russel Faulkner of Florida; by a nephew, Aaron Faulkner of Columbus, Nebraska; other relatives and many friends. Courtney was preceded in death by her father, Patric Faulkner.
Funeral Mass will be held 11am, Wednesday at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church with the Reverend Father Leonard Higgins, officiating. Interment will follow in Nowata’s Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service. Come and go visitation will be Tuesday, November 9, 9am-8pm at the funeral home.
