Vivian Madeline (Thompson) Peace

January 25, 1927 — January 6, 2024

Kansas City, Missouri

Vivian was the second daughter of Joe and Aggie (Mayhew) Thompson born in Hayden Oklahoma. They had a large family of ten children; 5 boys and 5 girls; Everett, Harold, Fred, Floyd, Wayne, Gladys, Marie, Jean and Edith who were waiting with our Lord to welcome her home.

Affectingly, known as mother, granny and aunt Vib, Vivian received her formal education at Lightning Creek Madden School. Her passion was capturing stories and loved to share her many writings with family and friends. She enjoyed her life on the farm that was also her classroom. Vivian, her brothers and sisters learned many well rounded skills to carry into the world, such as gardening, sewing, cooking and business skills. A Thanksgiving dinner wasn’t complete without her cranberry andwalnut relish and raisin pie. Vivian’s circle is wide and deep, never meeting a stranger and leaving a lasting impression wherever she went.

Vivian leaves to cherish her memory, daughter Sharon Hicks of Kansas City MO, grandson Tyler Hicks (Brianne) of Kansas City, MO, great grandsons Mehki and Malik, great granddaughters Malile, MyKael Miori and ,great grandson Donte and great great granddaughter Malina. Additionally, Vivian was a mother to many and leaves nephews, nieces, cousins and friends to carry on her memory.

Let’s practice what aunt Vib preached…Keep the MEMORIES alive!
