Luginbuel Funeral Home, Vinita, OK (918) 256-5555.......Vera Faye Bright 66, passed away on February 27, 2019 in Joplin, MO. Vera was born on June 17, 1952 in Big Cabin, OK to Andrew and Edna (Dye) Ponder.
Vera attended schools in Ottawa and Craig counties. She worked as a cook around Grand Lake for many years. Vera loved to cook, read and help family and friends, but mostly she enjoyed spending time with her great-granddaughters any chance she had. Vera will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Vera was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Edna (Dye) Ponder, husband, Ron Bright, daughter, Ann Beeson, sister, Ethel Anders, and grandson, Ricky Beeson.
Vera is survived by her daughter, Janet Johnson and husband Charley of Ketchum, OK; granddaughter, Jessica Johnson and fiancé Brian Cruz of Ketchum, OK; grandson, Anthony Johnson of Ketchum, OK; great granddaughters, Lilly and Daisee Cruz of Ketchum, OK; brother, James Orville Ponder of Vinita, OK; sisters, Bonnie Baty and husband Charles of Kansas, OK, Freda Seely and husband Fred of Big Cabin, OK, Evelyn Byrd and husband Jim of Sapulpa, OK, Betty Jones of Big Cabin, OK, Bertha Tiller and husband Dan of Big Cabin, OK, along with many other relatives, friends and loved ones.
Family visitation will be on Tuesday March 05, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Vinita, OK. Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 06, 2019 at the Big Cabin Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with Pastor Shane Culp officiating. Christopher Jones, Michael Seely, Freddie Seely, Brian Cruz, Anthony Johnson, Brad Johnson and Dakota Spurgeon will be serving as Pall Bearers.
