Shirley Dionne (Garrett) Webster was born in Okesa, OK, on March 16, 1936, the daughter of P R Garrett and Grace (Samuel) Garrett. She attended and received her education from the Bartlesville Public School system. Shirley continued her education by majoring in Fashion Merchandising at Oklahoma A & M College.
Shirley married the love of her life Howard Chouteau “Shoat” Webster Sr., and they cherished over 55 years together until his passing in 2013. She had the privilege of traveling all over the world with her husband attending rodeos. Shirley attended several churches in the area until her health would not allow it. She never met a stranger, was always willing to share a story, or give you a good laugh. Her hobbies included traveling, shopping, shopping, and shopping. Shirley was the Fairest of Fair and Aggie-X Queen at Oklahoma A&M. She represented Oklahoma A&M and State of Oklahoma in National Independent Student Queen contest in Ft. Collins Colorado. She liked getting all dressed up for any special occasion complete with matching jewelry on. Her greatest accomplishment was her family; whom she loved unconditionally and always made sure their needs were met. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Shirley will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by husband Shoat Webster; parents, P R and Grace Garrett; four siblings, Burl Garrett, Samuel Garrett, Blaine Garrett and Carol Meeker.
Shirley is survived by two children, Cathey Forrest and husband, Dennis of South Coffeyville, OK, Shoat Webster Jr. and wife, Debra of Lenapah, OK; two grandchildren, Brandon Webster, Gene Webster and wife Amanda; four great grandchildren, Shelby Webster, Tyler Webster, Emilia Webster, Addison Webster, two siblings, Gene Garrett, Elaine Morrow, several other relatives, and a lots and lots of friends.
Memorial service will be held 12:00 P.M., Friday July 30, 2021, at the First Church of God in Nowata, Oklahoma with Wendell Abbott officiating.
