Sharon Kay Hadley, 76, of Nowata, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Ascension St John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Thursday, August 17, 2023. Sharon was born on July 19, 1947, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to Charles Lumm and Clovis (Ebert) Lumm.

Sharon spent her early years in Alluwe, OK, and attended Alluwe Public School and then later Nowata Public School until her family moved to North Little Rock, Arkansas. She graduated high school from North Little Rock High School.

Sharon moved back to Nowata in 1979 and she began dating Wilmot “Monte” Hadley. The couple were married on January 11, 1980, in Dewey, Oklahoma, and made their home in Nowata. She worked in several customer service positions before retiring.

Sharon was noted for “being short”. She enjoyed camping, cooking, and working in her flower garden. She loved decorating for the seasons and holidays. Christmas was always her favorite time to decorate. Sharon was an excellent cook and on every Sunday morning, Sharon would prepare breakfast for her children and grandchildren and have breakfast as a family. She was very family-oriented and loved any time that she could have her family together, especially her grandchildren. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents: Charles Lumm and Clovis (Ebert) Barnhart; and her sisters: Anna Cotton and Nedra Barbee.

Those left to cherish her memory is her husband: Monte Hadley of Nowata, OK; her children: Jerry Parks and wife, Tammy of Nowata, OK, Gina Parks of Nowata, OK, and Tony Fuqua of Nowata, OK; her stepchildren: Monte Fowler of Nowata, OK, Scott Norcom and wife, Jenna of Glenpool, OK, Terri Alspach and husband, Scott of Delaware, OK, Tabatha Armstrong and husband, Don of Nowata, OK, Will Hadley of Nowata, OK, and H.N. Hadley and wife, Michele of Albuquerque, NM, 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Linda Lumm of Bartlesville, OK, Sandra Hammond of Ward, AR; best friend: Sheryl Short and many other family members and friends.

A funeral service for Sharon will be held at 10:00 AM at the Benjamin Funeral Service Chapel on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, with Pastor Eugene Hewitt officiating. Interment will follow at the Nowata Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday, August 21, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Benjamin Funeral Service Chapel.
