BENJAMIN FUNERAL SERVICE NOWATA, OKLAHOMA 918-273-2700....
Ruth was born Nov 6, 1941 in Marshall Missouri to Eugene Daniel North and Alice Christina Paxton North. She was a gift of an angle with her child like mind, loving heart, and the apple of her father’s eye. Ruthie as she was known to her family never knew what heartache or despair was in her lifetime for she was gifted to remain child like her entire life. For this reason, she required 24-hour care and for her own protection and safety, her father placed her in long term care facility as a pre-teen when he re-enlisted as a culinary chief in the Navy after taking a 7-year break to work on a farm in Yonkers and then as co-owner with his wife in a café in Hulbert, OK. Her father would always bring Ruthie home to spend time with the family every time he was on leave during his Naval years.
Ruthie was lovingly cared for most of her entire life by the staff at The Hays House in Nowata, ok until her passing Feb 22, 2021 at the age of 79 years.
Ruthie was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, brothers Albert Eugene and Donald Wayne North. Surviving are nephews David Eugene North, Michael Joseph North, Nieces Donna Elizabeth North, and Sandra Lynn North, of Louisiana. Great nephews Jason North, Daniel North, great nieces Kacie North, Amanda Richter and family friends David Wayne and Rita Church of Fort Gibson, Ok.
Burial will be later at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery as dependent daughter in honor of her father’s twenty years if Naval Services spanning from 1942-1969 and serving World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War.
