Ralph Richardson, Jr.

June 25, 1945 — April 24, 2019

Ralph John Richardson, Jr. or “Booney” as most knew him, was a 73-year-old resident of Bartlesville and formerly of Nowata, who passed away Wednesday night, April 24, 2019 at Jane Phillips Medical Center, Bartlesville.

Booney was born June 25, 1945 at Delaware, Oklahoma to Ralph Richardson, Sr. and Opal Viola (Jordan) Richardson.  He was raised in the Delaware area and received his education in the Delaware Public Schools.  Booney graduated with the Delaware Warrior Class of 1964. He began a life-long career as an auto mechanic at Sooner Motors in Nowata, Oklahoma, where he worked for 20 years.  Booney took a similar position with Fred Jones Ford, before opening his own shop in Bartlesville in the late 80s, known as B&R Automotive.

Booney was a Ford man and knew every trick to make one run faster.  He was also fond of riding motorcycles, especially his vintage Kawasaki “Triple”.  Booney was a friend to many and helpful to most everyone he came in contact with.

Booney’s parents, five brothers and a sister, preceded him in death and he is survived by his daughter, Melissa Washam and her husband, Mike of Pinedale, Wyoming as well as two grandchildren, Michael Robertson and Shawnee Rogers.
