Paula Mclain

September 21, 1947 — June 25, 2019

Paula Marie McLain, 71, of Bluejacket passed away at Saint Francis Hospital in Vinita, Tuesday, June 25, 2019. She was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma September 21, 1947 to Merle and Nellie (Anderson) Birth. On March 11, 1970 she married Keith McLain. Paula and her family moved to Vinita in 1978 from Wagoner, Oklahoma. She worked for the Vinita School systems as a cook and was a member of the Craig County Baptist Church. Paula enjoyed scrapbooking, crocheting, and working in her flower gardens. She was always looking for a bargain and loved to haggle over prices. Above all she loved her family. Her children and grandchildren held a special place in her heart. Paula will be missed by all who loved her.

Preceding Mrs. McLain in death are her parents, Merle and Nellie Birth; her husband, Keith McLain; siblings, Larry Birth, Lavon McFarland, Merlene Shultz, Gerald Birth, Darrell Birth, and Carol Ann Hammond.

Survivors include her daughter Barbara Cook and her husband Jeff, of Pryor, Oklahoma; a son J.R. McLain, of Bluejacket, Ok.; grandchildren, Kaylie Cruz, Chase Cook, Sage McLain; great-grandchildren, Kaeman, Everlee, Jax, Emelina, Ella, Grayson; a sister, Alice Koehn; many other relatives and a host of friends.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. McLain will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Vinita, at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 29, 2019 with Pastor Dale Bigham officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Craig County Baptist Church.  Services are entrusted to Luginbuel Funeral Home.
