Orie Lee Tatum passed from this life on May 13, 2022, at the age of 84.

Orie was born in Nowata on January 21, 1938, to Robert and Irene Tatum.  He grew up in Nowata and met his wife Cloris Voris when they were teenagers.  They were married on May 28, 1955 and were married 59 years.  They had 2 daughters Terri and Kathy and a son Larry.  Orie and Corky worked as a team for 30 plus years, truck driving across the country.  Orie always worked hard to provide for his family.  Orie loved to travel and had many hobbies, but his favorite hobby was classic cars and motorcycles.  After Corky’s passing, he met his wife, Sherrie and they shared 4 years together.  He was loved by Sherrie and her family.  Orie continued to travel and go on long drives to pass the time until his passing.

Orie is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Mary and Bob Sowder of Hallet, sister and brother-in-law Joyce and Lee Antrup of Nowata, and brother Leon Tatum of Bartlesville, wife, Sherrie of Jennings and her family; daughter and son in law Terri and Dean Mainus of Drumright: son and daughter in law Larry and Trina Tatum of Jennings, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his father Robert Tatum, mother Irene Tatum, brother Jay Tatum, brother Mike Tatum, sister Margie Carmack, and sister Margaret Corley, wife Cloris Tatum, daughter Kathy Orcutt, and great granddaughter Callie Mainus.

A memorial service at the graveside for Orie Lee Tatum will be held in Nowata Re-located Cemetery at 10am on the 3rd of June.

Orie Lee lives on in the hearts of his family and friends.
