Maudie Lorraine Bauman, 90, and a resident of Copan, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday afternoon, January 5, 2020 at Medicalodge of Dewey.
Lorraine was born February 24, 1929 to Orie B. Stanton and Mabel L. (Barkdoll) Stanton at McCune, Kansas. She came to Bartlesville as a small child and received her education in Bartlesville, Amarillo, Texas and Kansas City, Missouri. Lorraine worked as a telephone operator most of her life; working for Southwestern Bell & Pacific Bell, telephone companies and for Cities Service Oil Co., as well as Jane Phillips Hospital. She retired in 1994.
Lorraine was of the Baptist Faith and loved her family. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidery, reading and puzzles.
Lorraine is survived by a son, Ron W. Koester and his wife, Linda of Copan; two grandsons and three granddaughters; two great-grandsons and three great-granddaughters; two great-great-grandsons and three great-great-granddaughters; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; by two husbands; by one son; by two sisters and two brothers; one grandson and by one stepdaughter.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Dewey First Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Wright officiating. Family suggests donations to the Copan Fire Department, who were there for Lorraine any time she called them.
