Linda Nell Pearsall, 84, lifetime resident of Nowata, passed away at her home on April 28, 2026. Linda was born in Nowata on June 21, 1941, to David and Mary (Hudson) Porter. She was a graduate of Nowata High School in 1959, and after high school she worked at Rexall Drug. She also worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. as an operator, working nights and thoroughly enjoying it. She married Virgil Pearsall on April 21, 1964. She enjoyed being a homemaker at their ranch, raising her children, and helping with all the necessary daily chores. On the ranch they raised registered Limousin cattle, and she helped her children raise and show cattle and pigs. Linda enjoyed traveling with her husband and sister, and especially loved her time with her family, her grandchildren, and watching the grandsons play football.
Virgil preceded her in death on March 25, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Judi Parrott, and a daughter by marriage, Sharon Alspach. Linda is survived by her son, David Pearsall and his wife Carey; daughter, Kim Hesslen and her husband Jerry Ray, and a daughter by marriage, Gilda Ovalle; her twin sister Wanda Wintjen and her husband Ron; grandchildren, Kyle Kester and his wife Madison, Chad Kester and his wife Katie, Amanda Pearsall and wife Krystal, Cody Pearsall, Tammy Phelps and her husband Dean; great grandchildren, Claire and Chloe Kester, Henry Kester, Megan Haley, and Mariah Gifford; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation for Linda will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 5-7pm in the Benjamin Funeral Chapel, Nowata. Her funeral service will follow on Friday, May 1, 2026, in the First Church of God, Nowata, at 10:00 am with Wendall Abbott officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Nowata, immediately following the service.
