Joyce Florene Hawkins

Joyce Florene (David) Hawkins, age 85, was born July 24, 1938, at Bartlesville, OK to John L and Florence (Jimison) David. She moved to Alluwe at the age of three. She graduated from Alluwe High School in 1956. She passed away on November 12, 2023, at the Journey Home with friends and family by her side.

Joyce married Charles Hawkins on June 14, 1957, in Nowata. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, Landers Brothers Grocery and was church secretary for Hillside Christian Church for several years. Her primary occupation was raising her family.

Joyce and Charles were members of Hillside Christian Church since 1967. Joyce and “Charlie” enjoyed camping, traveling, and logged many miles to attend the grand kids sporting events.

Joyce is survived by children; Steve Hawkins and Tracy of Bartlesville, Paula Lowe and Rick of Nowata, Roger Hawkins and Sherry of Springdale, AR; Grandchildren: Clint Bland and Dee, Janice Hawkins, Megan Wilkey and Kagean, Kevin Lowe and Macie, Chandler Hawkins, Logan Hawkins and Allison Carey; Great grandchildren: Kennedi Lowe, Brayden Whitaker, and Kaia Wilkey. One brother, John David and Frances of Bartlesville, two sisters Eula Franklin of Nowata and Sue Gingerich of Bartlesville.

Preceding her in death was her husband of over 61 years, Charles and parents John David and Florence Jimison Campbell.

Services will be at 10 am at the Hillside Christian Church in Nowata, OK with Pastor Van Longbons officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory to Hillside Christian Church 1348 W Davis Dr Nowata, Oklahoma 74048 or The Journey Home 900 Washington Blvd. Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
