Johnny Ellis

Johnny Lee Ellis passed away December 14, 2021 at St. John’s Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. He was born on February 7, 1954, to William Charles Ellis Sr. and Wynona Inez (Curnutte) Ellis in Nowata, OK where he grew up and attended Nowata schools. After High School, he completed 2 years at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M and later graduated with a degree in teaching from Oklahoma State University. John began his teaching career in Delaware, OK teaching Vocational Agriculture and retired teaching Biology at Nowata Public Schools.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Inez Ellis, and four older brothers; Jim Ellis, Jack Ellis, Joe Ellis, and Bill Ellis. John was survived by many nieces and nephews as well as numerous good friends.
