Joel Eugene Quinn, passed away on October 14, 2019 in Vinita, OK. Joel was born on June 07, 1953 to Francis Sr. and Doris (Mosher) Quinn.
Joel grew up and attended schools in Genoa, NY. He moved West 28 years ago, being settled in Miami, OK for the last 24 years. Joel worked at the Oklahoma Forensic Center for 15 years. He is remembered having sung “You are my Sunshine” by his family and friends. Joel loved to attend auctions and yard sales whenever he could. He loved treasure hunting, bonfires and storytelling but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. Joel loved all of his grandchildren unconditionally and they were his greatest joy, however he shared a very special bond with his grandson Kaleb Eugene. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Joel will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Joel was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Sr, and Doris (Mosher) Quinn; brothers, Francis Jr., Keith and Robert.
Joel is survived by his loving wife Ellen Quinn of the home; son, Wesley Wilbur and wife Bethany, daughters, Angie Wilbur and husband Paul, Robin Morehouse and husband Fred, Michelle Quinn, Kimberly Quinn, Peggy Emerson and husband Michael, Jolene Van Ardsdale and husband Dave, Stephanie Damann and husband Trent, Jody Quinn, brothers, Tom and Kevin, sisters, Nancy, Sharon, Patty, Kathy, along with 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many other family friends and loved ones.
Currently, there are no services planned however, friends and family are invited to the home on Saturday October 19, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM to share stories and memories with his family.
Family has also requested donations be made to the Boys and Girls Club of America in lieu of flowers.
