Jessie Viola Nichols Moore Polone, 96, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, nurse, and friend whose gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Jessie was born on August 2, 1930, near Woodrow, Colorado, to Arley and Alice Nichols. Though her beginnings were simple, they helped shape the strong, hardworking, and compassionate woman she would become. In 1933, at the age of three, Jessie and her family moved to Oklahoma, where she would spend the remainder of her life building a home, raising her family, and becoming a cherished member of her community.

Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, Arley and Alice Nichols; her brothers, Gene Nichols and Owen Nichols; her sister, Iva June Nichols; the love of her life, Charles Moore; her husband, Allen Palone; her son, Charles Moore; and her beloved daughter, Karen Boyles.

In 1948, Jessie married the love of her life, Charles Moore. Together they shared 38 wonderful years before Charles passed away in 1986. Together they raised five children: Charles Moore, Jessie Ramsey, Karen Boyles, Particia Harrison and Connie Friddle. Their home was one where family always came first, the door was always open, and love was never in short supply.

Jessie dedicated more than twenty years of her life at Jane Phillips Hospital. Caring for others was more than a profession-it was calling. She had a servant’s heart and treated every patient with kindness, dignity and compassion. Whether comforting someone during a difficult time or offering a reassuring smile, Jessie had a remarkable gift for making people feel cared for.

On Valentine's Day, February 14, 1987, Jessie found love again when she married Allen Polone of Nowata, Oklahoma. Together they shared fourteen happy years filled with companionship, laughter and love until Allen's passing in August 2001.

Although Jessie found fulfillment in her career, nothing brought her greater happiness than her family. Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren were the center of her world. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family, whether it was gathering for holidays, celebrating birthdays, sharing meals around the table, or simply sitting together enjoying each other’s company. She treasured every visit, every conversation, every hug and every laugh. To Jessie, these were life’s greatest blessings.

Jessie is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Jessie Ramsey, Patricia Harrison, Connie Friddle and Connie's husband, Garrett Friddle; her brother, Ervin Nichols, and his wife, Jane Nichols; her sister-in-law, Betty Nichols; and her dear friends who became family, Taylor Malotte, Steve Spears, Brad VanWinkle, Chad Smith, Larry Garner, Wyatt Lively and Jesten Cody.

She also leaves behind ten grandchildren: Charles Brady and his wife, Ku Brady; Bradley Boyles II and his wife, Heather Boyles; Derrick Boyles and his wife, Amanda Boyles; Charlie Moore II; Jeremy Ramsey; Christi Friddle; Amber Boyles; Shelby Swalley and her husband, Michael Swalley; Travis Ramsy; Chelsea Shanklin.

Jessie’s legacy continues through her 24 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Nothing brought a brighter smile to her face than watching another generation of her family grow. She was endlessly proud of each of them and treasured every opportunity to spend time together, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Those who knew Jessie will remember her gentle spirit, quiet strength, generous heart and unwavering faith. She taught those around her that life’s greatest riches are not found in material things, but in love, kindness, family and the simple joy of being together. Her home was a place where everyone felt welcomed, and her family always knew they were loved beyond measure.

Jessie lived through nearly a century of change, yet the values she held close never changed. She believed in hard work, caring for others, keeping faith during difficult times, and always putting family first. Her kindness, wisdom, and unconditional love became the foundation upon which generations of her family continue to build their lives.

Although her passing leaves an emptiness that words cannot fully express, her family finds comfort in knowing that her love lives on in every lesson she taught, every tradition she began, every family gathering she cherished and every heart she touched. Her greatest legacy is not measured in years, but in the countless lives she influenced with her compassion, generosity and steadfast love.

Jessie’s life was beautifully lived and deeply loved. She leaves behind a family that is stronger because of her, a community that is better for having known her and memories that will be treasured for generations to come.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, Sept 18, 2026, at 10:00 am in the Hillside Christian Church, Nowata. Services will be officiated by Allan Walker.
