Garrett Wayne Tole, 33, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away April 16, 2024, at his residence. He was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma, on April 20, 1990, to Christopher Tole and Starla (Bowman) Tole.
Garrett grew up in Collinsville, OK, graduating from Collinsville High School in 2008. He later attended college at Northeastern State University. In his youth, Garrett was very athletic and played 3rd base in high school baseball. In junior high school, his team participated in the Little League World Series when his family lived in Olathe, KS. After returning from Kansas back to Collinsville, he gained a bonus family in the George’s. Brad George was his age and Tucker was his younger brother’s age, which made for a formidable four pack. The four of them struck up a friendship that was more of a brotherhood for over 20 years, living and working together after high school. He was a hard worker and recognized as exceptional in many of his careers, from truck driving in the oilfield to laying fiber optic cables. He was never afraid of a challenge. One of his proudest moments was standing next to his brother and the George brothers for Shannon and Brandon’s wedding in 2021. Garrett lived in Oklahoma for the majority of his life before moving to Florida 2 years ago for a new start.
Garrett was a leader and role model to his siblings and peers. When presented with adversity, he faced it head on. He radiated positivity and encouragement to the ones most dear to him. He always had something uplifting to say about others. When he loved, he loved fiercely and defended his loved ones. Garrett was known to be funny and understanding. In his free time, Garrett enjoyed being outside and filling his time with outdoor activities like fishing, hunting, and golfing. He loved the ocean and saltwater. He loved to take everyone to visit the beach, even if it was cold, just to see the sunset. Garrett loved animals and many types of music, especially Rock n’ Roll and Outlaw Country. He loved spending time with his family and his friends and girlfriend, and he will deeply be missed by all.
