Eviline French, a beloved mother and grandmother, went home to be with Jesus on September 16, 2026. Born on May 27, 1935, in the small town of Chelsea, Oklahoma, she was a cherished daughter of Carl and Mittie Abram. Her life was a tapestry of love, resilience, and dedication to her family and friends.

Throughout her life, Eviline wore many hats, each with grace and dedication. She worked as a seamstress and a machinist, roles that spoke to her keen eye for detail and industrious spirit. Her years in sales at Wal-Mart and as a childcare worker highlighted her warm nature and love for connecting with people. For over three decades, Eviline was a devoted member of the River of Life Tabernacle in Coffeyville, Kansas, where she nurtured her faith and built lasting friendships. Eviline found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in planting gardens that flourished under her care and in preparing meals that brought her family together. Her gardens were a reflection of her nurturing soul, and her kitchen was a place of warmth and welcoming. Eviline was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Lyman Albert French Jr, with whom she shared 60 beautiful years of marriage. Together, they built a family filled with love and laughter, leaving a legacy that will endure through their children and grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings and her son-in-law Lawrence Hawse. She is survived by her children, Jimmy French, Mary Karch and Anna Hawse, who will forever hold her in their hearts and will miss her immensely. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Shane French, Molly Summers, Jodi Wright, Jenna French, Shelby and Baili Karch, as well as numerous great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy and pride. Eviline's life was a testament to love, resilience, and faith. She touched the hearts of many and will be remembered with affection and gratitude by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A graveside service to celebrate Eviline's life will be held on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM., in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Nowata. Family and friends will gather to honor her memory and share in the stories of a life well-lived. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Eviline's memory to the Nowata Ambulance. Her family wishes to express their gratitude for the love and support shown during this difficult time.
