Edith Marie Green, 61-year-old Nowata resident, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at home. She was born on November 22, 1964, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Jerry and Gwendolyn (Gore) Slane. She attended school and grew up in Cushing.

Edith met and married Joe Green in 1999 and the two made their home in Nowata. She worked for Nowata Printing Company as a Print Jogger until she took early retirement because of her health.

Family was everything to Edith. She enjoyed visiting with her family. Especially, she enjoyed attending the various family reunions throughout the years, reconnecting with family members.

Edith is survived by her husband, Joe, of the home; son, Rickey Slane of Cushing; grandchildren, Jojo Lindner, and Isabelle Sudderth; siblings, Jennifer Brown of Drumright, and Larry Slane of Nowata; and her father, Jerry Slane.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Gwendolyn Slane; daughter, Teresa Slane; and siblings, Terry Henshaw, Paula Wright, and Karen Moffett.
