Dorothy Helen Buster, 82, a life-long resident of Nowata, Oklahoma, passed from this life into eternal rest in the early hours of December 23, 2022. Dorothy took her first breath of life on March 27, 1940, in Coweta, Oklahoma, the daughter of Ervin Harold and Ethel Gertrude (Dyke) McFarland. She attended school in Alluwe, OK.

Dorothy married the love of her life, Floyd “Gene” Eugene Buster Sr. on December 1, 1980, in Bartlesville, OK. The couple enjoyed over 40 years of marriage until Gene’s passing in 2021. A true, greater love was demonstrated all through the years, even until her last breath.

In her free time, Dorothy enjoyed being outdoors, which led to many hobbies such as fishing and camping. Dorothy truly loved all that nature had to provide. Dorothy was also an avid collector. She collected deer statues, dolls, pictures, and Elvis memorabilia. Dorothy also enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with her little dog, Rascal. Dorothy had the best demeanor that was contagious to those around her, as she was always happy and smiling.

Above all, Dorothy loved any moment she could spend with her family. Dorothy’s family held a very special place in their hearts for her, and she will undoubtedly be missed by all who knew her.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; Ervin and Ethel McFarland, her husband; Floyd “Gene” Eugene Buster, her son; Terry Reeder, her grandson; Terry Reeder II, and her siblings; Joann McFarland, Ella Mae Wilson, Harold McFarland, and Dan McFarland.
