Dorothy L. Brown, 92, passed peacefully into the loving arms of her Savior on March 15, 2019.

Dorothy was born on July 12, 1926 in Oklahoma City, OK. She married the love of her life, George Brown on June 21, 1946 in Oklahoma City, OK. She and George had two children; son Lawrence Brown and daughter Linda (Brown) Pierce. George and Dorothy spent many years together and built their dream house at the end of the cove on Grand Lake. They loved their time there fishing and entertaining family and friends. Dorothy was an avid gardener and loved to entertain people, especially at Christmas when she would bake a multitude of cookies and candies, especially her famous pfeffernusse cookies. Her home was always open and all were always welcome. Dorothy loved her church family and relished church fellowship dinners. She loved and doted on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Many happy times were spent at her house on Grand Lake with her family and extended family. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, George on February 25, 1979, and by her son, Larry on October 31, 2015.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Linda Pierce and her husband, Danny of Bartlesville Oklahoma; grandson, Josh Pierce & his wife, Becki and his daughters, Camdin and Aubrey and his sons, Grant and Kole of Mannford Oklahoma; grandson Zach Pierce and his wife Charity and their daughters, Larissa, Sophia and Gabriella & their son Crosston of Bartlesville Oklahoma; and grandson, David Brown of Houston Texas.

Graveside service for Dorothy will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Bartlesville's Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Michael Svitak, officiating.
