Dennis Leon Ramsey, passed away on February 15, 2019 in Vinita, OK. Dennis was born on January 05, 1967 in Vinita, OK to Robert and Frances (Vann) Ramsey.
Dennis attended schools in Vinita, Oklahoma. He worked as a Nurse at Eastern State Hospital for many years. Dennis is of the Baptist faith and worshipped frequently at Serenity Baptist Church in Vinita, Oklahoma. He loved hunting, horse riding, bull riding and loved to attend rodeos. Dennis will be missed by all who knew him and loved him.
Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Robert Garfield Ramsey, nephew, John Paul George Jr., great niece, Genevea Ramsey.
Dennis is survived by his loving mother, Frances Ramsey, children, Deon Johnson, Daylon Ramsey, Taylor Ramsey, Austin Ramsey, Ainslie Manning, Montanna Ramsey, Kyerstyn Ramsey and Dennis "DJ" Ramsey Jr., sisters, Rachel George and husband John of Vinita, OK, Marsha Ham and husband Lester of McDonough, GA, Marcelette Watson and husband Warren of Houston, TX, Bessie Madison and husband Joe of Atlanta, GA, Syrina Ramsey of Vinita, OK; brothers, Robert Ramsey and wife Mona of Vinita, OK, Harvey Ramsey and wife Della of Vinita, OK, Alvin Ramsey and wife Vina of Vinita, OK, Roderick Ramsey and wife Cindy of Vinita, OK, Eddie Ramsey of Muskogee, OK; along with seven grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews with many other relatives, friends and loved ones.
Family visitation will be on Thursday February 21, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Vinita, OK. Funeral service will be held Friday February 22, 2019 at Trinity Baptist Church at 1:00 PM with Rev. Farris Downing officiating. Dennis will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Vinita, OK immediately following the funeral service. Eli Lanning, Jordan McCoin, Karry Daggs, Jamar Madison, Randy Davis Jr, Richard Smith, Eddie Ramsey and De'Andre George will be serving as Pall Bearers.
