Dennis Elwood Gronquist

Dennis Elwood Gronquist, 84, passed away at his home in Delaware, OK on Wed., Oct. 1, 2025. Dennis was born on Nov. 27, 1940, in Superior, NE, to Paul and Opal (Hill) Gronquist. He honorably served his country in the US Army, was a graduate of the Tulsa Technical School, then began his career as a Drafting Design Engineer. He worked for various companies including Phillips, and Lowrance where he was pivotal in their advancement of technology. He was active with ballroom dancing and the Stillwater Book Club.

Dennis is survived by his son, Mark Hunt of Sallisaw and his daughter, Denel Collins of Delaware; grandchildren, LaDonna West of Bartlesville, Allen West of Bartlesville, Melanie Ivey of Yukon, Mikel Gronquist of Mustang, Mitchel Gronquist of Tuttle, Myles Gronquist of Harrah, Morgan Mincey of Tuttle, Jeramey Gronquist of Muskogee, and Mark Gronquist Jr. of Tulsa; 14 Great Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by one son, Mikel Gronquist, 1 grandson, Auhstin Gronquist, 1 great granddaughter, Isabella West, 2 brothers, Bryce and Dwayne Gronquist, and 1 sister, Paula Furry.
