Connie Miller

October 18, 1935 — April 7, 2019

Connie Max Miller, age 83, Bernice, OK, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019 at his residence.
He was born on October 18, 1935 in Atoka County, Oklahoma. Following high school, he served in the US Navy for four years and then began a long career in the airline industry, first with Braniff International and then American Airlines. Despite many years working for global airlines, he preferred to stay close to home, spending time on his beloved Grand Lake, fishing, riding wave runner, or just enjoying the beautiful view.
He also enjoyed woodworking, crafting pieces of beautiful furniture, many of which are cherished by friends and family today. Never one to sit still, he built 3 homes, doing almost all of the construction and finish work himself.
He was always available to lend a hand to friends who needed help… or glass of red wine.
Above all else, he can be remembered for his love and caring devotion to his wife of 51 years, Barbara. And for the constant care and support he provided to her over the past several years.
Connie is preceded in death by his parents Gus and Allie Miller, son Steve Miller, siblings Gus Miller, Carl Miller, Bertha Kelly, Mildred Smith, Margaret White and Patsy Smith. He is survived by son Clark Miller, siblings Preston Miller, Bill Miller, Edgar Miller, Olga Stuckey, Barbara Spiegel, Mary Weaver, and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are planned for 11:00 a.m., Thursday, at Ballard Cemetery, Bernice. Friends are requested to meet at the cemetery
